ELTs FAR 91.207 regulates ELTs. 91.107 (d)....ELTs must be inspected every 12 calendar months ELTs are not required under the following conditions (91.207(e))... - Ferrying a new airplane to where an ELT can be installed. - Ferrying an airplane with an inoperative ELT to a location where it can be repaired/replaced ELTs are not required under FAR 91.207(f)... - Turbojets prior to 1/1/04 - Scheduled aircarrier ops - Training within 50nm - Flights for design & testing (aircraft) - Aerial chemical application - Certificated R&D aircraft (FAA auth) - Aircraft used for showing compliance with regulations - Aircraft equipped to carry not more than 1 person - Aircraft with transmitter removed (placarded, logged IAW 91.207(f)10) - Max payload greater than 18,000lbs when used in air transportation
