AF 201B Unit 17 Solo Cross Country Flight Lesson 10

201B Solo ops limited to 15kts surface wind or less.

1.5 Solo XC

The student will plan and conduct a VFR solo cross country utilizing pilotage, dead reckoning and radio aids (optional) that consists of:

  1. minimum of 1.5 hours in duration
  2. a total distance of at least 100 nautical miles
  3. at least 2 legs with at least one leg that consists of a total straight line distance of more than 50 nautical miles.

Some examples include.

This lesson requires 1.5 hours of Solo Cross Country Time. The student will conduct a VFR solo cross country utilizing pilotage, dead reckoning and radio aids(optional). The instructor will determine how well the cross country was conducted through oral examination and check that all required flight log entries have been made.
