AF 203 Unit 1 Dual Flight Lesson 1
The student will be able to determine that they meet the requirements
to act as pilot-in-command, that the aircraft is airworthy and ready for
safe flight and that suitable weather conditions exist. The student will
also be instructed in the four fundamentals, normal takeoffs and
landings. During this flight, the student will also be expected to respond
to an emergency situation.
The student's knowledge and performance should be approaching the
standards prescribed in the Commercial Pilot PTS for certificates and
documents, obtaining weather Information, operation of airplane
systems, emergency procedures, determining performance and
limitations, visual inspection, cockpit management, starting engine,
taxiing and pre-takeoff check.
