AF 201A Unit 2 Dual Flight Lesson 1

1.0 Dual

The student will review items from Introduction and Orientation One and be introduced to cockpit management, starting engine, taxing, pre-takeoff check, traffic pattern departure, basic flight maneuvers, local flying area familiarization, traffic pattern entry and securing the airplane.

The student should be able to, with assistance, be familiar with cockpit management procedures, starting engine, taxiing, pre-takeoff check, takeoff, traffic pattern departure and entry, basic flight maneuvers, local flying area familiarization, and securing the airplane. The student should be able to maintain altitude within +/- 200 feet, heading within +/- 20 degrees in straight and level flight, and display an understanding of ground safety.
