AF 201A Unit 20 Orientation Lesson 8 - Regulation
The student will receive instruction on FAA regulations and SIU policies appropriate for student pilot operations at SIU.
The student should have an understanding of FAA regulations and SIU policies appropriate for student pilot operations at SIU.
- Drugs, Alcohol and Medication
- Logging of Pilot Flight Time
- Student Pilot Privileges and Limitations
- General FAR Part 91 Rules (Subpart A,B)
- Airspace: Rules, speed limits, required equipment, VFR Wx Mins
- Class C communications
- Class D communications
- Special VFR
- Speed Limits (under 10K, under class B)
- SIU MOS Rules and Weather Requirements
- All students will obtain a weather briefing prior to EVERY flight. For cross country flights the briefing must be via www.duats.com or 1-800-WX-BRIEF.
