AF 201B Unit 7 Dual Cross Country Flight Lesson 3

2.0 Dual XC

The student will plan and conduct a VFR cross country utilizing pilotage, dead reckoning and radio aids (optional) that consists of:

  1. at least 2 hours in duration
  2. a total distance of at least 100 nautical miles
  3. at least 2 legs with at least one leg that consists of a total straight line distance of more than 50 nautical miles.

Sample destinations include:

  • Farmington, MO (FAM) 112 NM
  • Sikeston, MO (SIK) 110 NM
  • Kentucky Dam, KY (M34) 130 NM
  • Sturgis, KY (TWT) 127 NM.
