AF 201B Unit 12 Dual Cross Country Flight Lesson 7

2.0 Dual Night XC

The student will plan and conduct a night VFR cross country utilizing pilotage, dead reckoning and radio aids (optional) that consists of:

1. minimum of 2.0 hours in duration
2. a total distance of at least 150 nautical miles
3. at least 2 legs with at least one leg that consists of a total straight line distance of more than 50 nautical miles.
4. 2 takeoffs and 2 landings to a full stop are required for this lesson (A total of 10 takeoffs and 10 full stop night landings are required in Stage Two of AF 201B).

Some examples include:

• Carbondale, IL (MDH) to Evansville Dress Regional (EVV) or
• Carbondale, IL (MDH) to Spirit of St. Louis (SUS).
