1.0 Dual
The student will conform to arrival and departure procedures as well as established traffic patterns at controlled and uncontrolled airports. In addition, the student will maneuver the airplane at approximately traffic pattern altitude over a predetermined ground path while dividing attention inside and outside the airplane. Solo flight proficiency will be met. Eights on pylons and chandelles will also be introduced during this lesson. The student will be subjected to additional emergency situations.
The student's performance should be approaching the standards prescribed in the Commercial Pilot PTS for radio communication, ATC light signals, traffic pattern operations, airport and runway marking and lighting, eights on pylons, chandelles, emergency approach and landing, systems and equipment malfunctions and after-landing procedures.
