AF 203 Unit 10 Dual Cross Country Flight Lesson 7

2.0 Dual XC

The student will plan and conduct a VFR cross country utilizing pilotage, dead reckoning and radio aids (optional) that consists of:

  1. Minimum 2.0 hours flight time
  2. At least a total straight line distance of more than 100 NM from the

original point of departure

Some Examples include: Carbondale, IL (MDH) to the following and returning:

  • Dyersburg (DYR) - 214NM
  • Kennett Memorial (TKX) - 200NM
  • Hopkinsville Christian Co. (HVC) - 204NM
  • Taylorville (TAZ) - 211NM

This Lesson requires 2.0 hours of Dual Cross Country Time. The student will demonstrate satisfactory competence and safety for solo cross-country flight. The student's performance should be approaching the standards in the Commercial Pilot PTS for cross-country flight.
