AIM 4-3-11 states:

“Student pilots or pilots not familiar with LAHSO should not participate in the program.”

While this does not prohibit a student pilot from accepting a LAHSO clearance, FAA Order 7110.118A adds additional guidance:

“When arriving pilots identify themselves to the local controller as a solo student pilot, that pilot must not be issued a LAHSO clearance. ”
